Volunteers of the Month - Haley, Faith, Finley & Stark:

Cultivate is happy to introduce Haley, Faith, Finley and Stark, our new Volunteers of the Month!  This family crew has been volunteering with our Carry-Out Caravan program since 2021.  Haley (Mom) first started bringing Stark, their adopted son, with her to Carry-Out Caravan when he was just a baby. When she switched her older girls, Faith and Finley, to homeschooling, they joined Mom while Stark attended pre-school.  This family brings such joy to our Broomfield shopping team; we just love having Haley and her kids there shopping with us!

Their family is originally from Texas but have been in Colorado for the past 13 years. Haley is a personal trainer, homeschool mom, and also helps run a nonprofit called IChooseYou Ministries. Her husband, Andrew, has a full time job and still manages to put in a lot of time to help the ministry, on top of being an awesome Dad!

Haley's family motto is to "love God and love others." They especially have a heart for helping widows and orphans. In 2008, they were part of a group that started a non-profit to help the street children of Uganda have hope and a better future by providing school funds so they can get off the streets. Currently, they have 85 kids in the IChooseYou organization.  It has been very rewarding for them because some of the first children they helped are now adults raising their own families and in occupations such as nursing, teaching, and engineering. They are super proud of them for all they have overcome and accomplished!  For more information visit: www.IChooseYou.org.  Faith and Finley are beginning to help Haley and Andrew run the ministry and last year Faith even got to go with the organization to help love on and support their friends in Uganda!

Finley (7 year old) loves helping other people and pushing the grocery cart. She also loves gymnastics, dance, and being super silly. She especially loves pushing her cart into "Mr. T" (the volunteer that helped recruit them to join Cultivate) on their volunteer Wednesdays.

Faith (9 year old) loves that she’s able to help find the items that people need and, of course, the donuts. She’s excited about life and loves soccer and performing a song for anyone who will listen.

As a family they love to travel and take adventures wherever and whenever they can. They enjoy spending time with neighbors and friends. They also love playing anything outside such as yard games, hiking, skiing, running, bike riding, pickleballing, you name it!  Haley says they love that not only can they help serve people far away but also right in their own community through Cultivate!  They are grateful for Cultivate and all that the volunteers and administrators do to love and serve the seniors!

Cultivate is grateful to this beautiful family for the years of dedication they have provided in shopping for our clients when school and life allow.  When Faith and Finley are there shopping with us, they bring such a spirited energy that only children can exude!  We commend Haley and Andrew for their amazing parenting skills because their three children are so well mannered, helpful, and comfortable working alongside adults.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with Cultivate and for all the ministry and community work you do locally and abroad.
