We have important news to share with you regarding two of our programs, which provide services for seniors in our community and opportunities for volunteerism. Please read on for information about our Medical Mobility program and a new program called VetsGo.
We regret to inform you that our Medical Mobility program has closed. Medical Mobility began ten years ago as a partnership with Via, the primary transportation provider for seniors in Boulder County. Cultivate stepped in as a contracted and funded service provider when Via had an overflow of senior clients whose needs they couldn’t meet. Recently, Via informed Cultivate that they have increased capacity to cover more of the transportation needs in Boulder County, including the medical transportation Cultivate was contracted to provide. Due to this significant contractual change from Via, our Medical Mobility program has been discontinued.
Although we are disappointed that our Medical Mobility program has closed, we are excited to announce the opening of our VetsGo program. Veterans frequently lack needed support from their community, and many senior veterans have difficulty finding transportation to medical appointments. VetsGo provides volunteer-driven rides to medical appointments for veterans and their family members who are 60 years and older. Our volunteers will take veteran riders 60 and over that live in Boulder, Broomfield, and parts of Weld counties to medical appointments in and beyond Boulder County. Family members of veterans, which includes individuals who are 60 years and older whose parents, spouse, or children have or are currently serving in the military, are also eligible for our VetsGo program. Learn more about our VetsGo program and sign up as a client or volunteer online.
We appreciate and respect that this news impacts our community, and we greatly appreciate our volunteers, clients, and donors for sticking with us during this time of change. If you have any questions or need further clarification, reach out to us at (303) 443-1933 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Help seniors flourish by reconnecting them—as recipients and contributors—with their surrounding communities.
