We are so happy to introduce our newest Volunteers of the Month, Janice and Marvin F. For the past year, this wonderful duo has been volunteering for both Carry-Out Caravan and the YardBusters program.
Although their roots are from Michigan and Nebraska, they call Colorado their home. While Janice enjoys crafts and sewing baby quilts for family and friends, they both embrace hiking, cross country skiing, gardening and traveling together. They claim that being married for 38 years is not only one of their proudest moments but also some of their greatest challenges!
Their advice to others is to get to know your neighbors! They say they volunteer to give back, to help, and to connect with others. Marvin and Janice are wonderful volunteers because they are so caring and such hard workers. Janice shops weekly in Longmont for Carry-Out Caravan and often offers to deliver the groceries when we need extra help. They both are very active helping with YardBusters and have already worked seven hours for one client this Spring! They both agree that Cultivate is a good fit for them because it offers schedule flexibility.
This dynamic duo enjoy volunteering for our Cultivate clients, especially those who like to visit with them when working, sharing with them about their past and their passions. It’s so eye opening. Marvin and Janice love doing this work to help keep them in their homes. The yards and homes hold precious memories for these folks.
Marvin and Janice, we can't thank you enough for being such dedicated volunteers and taking the time to not only help our clients but really getting to know them. It makes such a difference in our clients lives to receive the support both physically and mentally to stay healthy, safe and independent.

Cam Low, a Boulder Native, enjoys the outdoors, practicing yoga, listening to live music, and spending time with her friends and family. As an avid Buffs fan, she is a devoted volunteer with the CU Boulder Alumni Chapter and Buffs4Life as well as an Ambassador for the Boulder Chamber. She joined the Cultivate family in March 2020 as a Business Development and Program Specialist. Cam is passionate about helping seniors and eager to introduce Cultivate clients to other people within the Cultivate Community, further encouraging the connection and relationship between clients, volunteers, donors, and staff.
