Upcoming Events - April 2019

Spring has arrived. Here in Colorado, that means it could be bright and sunny every day or snow two feet. Despite the weather uncertainty, we can look forward to plants in bloom, longer days, and plenty of great happenings around Boulder County. Every month, we share some of the events we’ll be attending as well as others that we know you’ll love to hear about. Read on for April 2019’s upcoming events:

 

April 1st–6th

Boulder Arts Week

Boulder, CO 

This city-wide event includes artists across a variety of mediums for a week-long celebration of art. Check out a theater or musical performance, public lectures and readings, or visit an exhibition or gallery. With over one hundred events happening over the course of the week, there’s lots to see. April 1st–7th

Longmont Restaurant Week

Longmont, CO

With over 40 venues and ten days of food, Longmont Restaurant Week will impress even the most persnickety palettes. Take a tasting tour of the city or pick your favorite locale and see what they have to offer for the event. The Dairy Arts Center always has a number of intriguing and entertaining events on their calendar. This month, we’re looking forward to a documentary exploring the world of graphic design before computers. Purchase your tickets on the Dairy Arts Center website. Earth Day Birthday Party

Get to Know Your Local Farm

7th Generation Farm

Join the City of Louisville Open Space Division and Boulder County Parks and Open Space at 7th Generation Farm to take a tour of the farm, meet the animals, sample local produce and enjoy opportunities for education on local agriculture and history. April 29th—May 5th

Screen Free Week

Bob L. Burger Recreation Center

111 W. Baseline Road, Lafayette

Join the Lafayette rec center for a week screen-free! The average American spends around 10 hours looking at and interacting with screens. The effects of which can be detrimental to your sleep, mood, and eye health. Take the challenge to go a week without using your screens (or use them significantly less).
