AmeriCorps Seniors

RSVP

RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) is a part of AmeriCorps Seniors. It is a federal grant that is distributed to an organization to assist people 55 years of age or better in finding rewarding volunteering opportunities. These grants are unique because they allow the program to partner with other organizations in the county they serve. These partnerships take the form of being able to recruit and refer volunteers to those partners. Existing volunteers at partner organizations are also able to enroll in the program to receive the benefits available.

You may be curious as to what the benefits are for AmeriCorps RSVP volunteers. This can vary slightly by program, but here at Cultivate we are able to provide supplemental liability insurance and mileage reimbursement to those RSVP volunteers who serve in Cultivate programs AND at our partner stations. We partner with organizations throughout Boulder County and Weld County that address many different issues such as food insecurity, seniors, veteran support, hospice, children, families, and more.

This grant allows us to operate our programs while partnering with our community and providing a robust network in which volunteers can find the right fit for themselves.
