Upcoming Events - May 2018
No matter the time of year, there’s never a shortage of happenings in Boulder County, and we’d love to see you at one (or more) of them! Every month, we’ll be sharing some of the events we’ll be attending as well as others that we know you’d love to hear about. Read on for May 2018’s upcoming events:
Saturday, May 5 11:00am-6:00pm
Roosevelt Park 700 Longs Peak Ave. Longmont, CO
Join us in Longmont for Cinco de Mayo, and celebrate Mexican culture and the Longmont community! We’ll be there all day, so in between the live entertainment (including a chihuahua beauty contest) be sure to find our booth and say hello.
Tuesday, May 15 9:00am-3:00pm
Our new name and logo is revealed!
6325 Gunpark Drive Suite #F, Boulder, CO 80301
Over the past year, we have been working toward changing our name to better reflect who we are and where we're going as an organization. We’re excited to announce that May 15 will be the day that we reveal our new name! Stop by our office for free swag (special items for the first 100 people!), food and drink, and printed items to take with you for handing out to people in your community.
Thursday, May 17 8:30am-4:00pm
Caregiver Symposium
Plaza Convention Center 1850 Industrial Cir. Longmont, CO
This annual educational event is almost here. Be sure to stop by the symposium to attend caregiving workshops and receive resources. Don’t forget to find our booth and learn more about our new name. Don’t worry, we’ll also be sporting BCCC signage, so you’ll be able to find us. Pre-register now (registration is free) in order to receive lunch.
Monday, May 28
BolderBoulder
This year marks 40 years of the Memorial Day Celebration. Register for the race online or in person. Or, be a part of the biggest Memorial Day party on earth as a volunteer. Whether you’re running the 10k, volunteering, or just there for the tribute or entertainment, this event is not to be missed.
One more thing! The Boulder County Commissioners have designated the month of May as “Older Americans’ Month”. In honor of the declaration, check back regularly with our blog and social media to read stories about our senior community members.
