Upcoming Events - May 2019

Spring is in full swing and we’re loving every sunny second of it. As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, more and more events are popping up across Boulder County. We’ve picked some of our favorites and hope to see you around town! Read on for May 2019’s upcoming events:    

 

Throughout May

Boulder County Farmers Markets

Boulder & Longmont

Farmers Market season has begun in Boulder County! There’s no better way to spend your Saturday morning than strolling in the sunshine and enjoying the best local farmers, businesses and artisans have to offer. You can check out the Boulder market on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. The Longmont market takes place only on Saturday mornings, and a Lafayette market takes place on Thursday evenings. May 2–20

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Dairy Center for the Arts

2590 Walnut Street, Boulder Don’t miss the last performance of the season from the Boulder Ensemble Theater Company with The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. The play, which follows a 15-year-old boy’s adventure across London after being falsely accused of killing his neighbor’s dog, won a Tony Award in 2015. The play finishes it’s two-month run on May 20th, so get your tickets today on the Dairy Center website.

Longmont Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Roosevelt Park

700 Longs Peak Avenue, Longmont Longmont will be hosting it’s 17th annual Cinco de Mayo celebration this May. Stop by Roosevelt Park and enjoy delicious food and drinks, a car show, live music and dancing, and vendors selling jewelry, clothing and more. The celebration aims to bring the diverse community of Longmont together to support and appreciate one another. And did we mention there’s a Chihuahua contest? May 10 | 6:30pm

Art Night Out

Old Town Lafayette

311 S. Public Road, Lafayette Art Night Out is a monthly art festival that happens throughout the summer in old town Lafayette. Along with quality art vendors, enjoy art demonstrations, entertainment from street performers, live music, food trucks and local beer. Check out the City of Lafayette website for more information, including the dates of future Art Night Out events throughout the summer.

 


 

May 25–27

Boulder Creek Festival

Boulder Creek

Between 9th & 14th Street, Boulder Celebrate the start of summer at the Boulder Creek Festival in late May. The event stretches across three days and includes live music, workshops, food, vendors and much more. With over 40 musical groups performing, the Boulder Creek Festival is the perfect way to kick-off the summer. Best of all, entry into the festival and all of the performances are free of charge. Grab your friends and family, and mark your calendars. You can find more information about the festival on their website.

 


 

May 27

Bolder Boulder

Folsom Field

2400 Colorado Avenue, Boulder Whether you’re joining the Bolder Boulder 10k as a participant or spectator, this Memorial Day event is always a blast. Sign up soon to snag your spot in the race as a runner, jogger or walker. If you’re looking to support the race participants, sign up as a volunteer. And stick around after the race finishes in Folsom Field for the Memorial Day Tribute featuring a 21-gun salute, a flyover by the Colorado Air National Guard, and a skydiving exhibition.
