Upcoming Events - November 2018
As the temperatures dip and the holiday season kicks into gear, November is a celebratory time of year. Whether it’s sipping hot cocoa in chilly weather or enjoying an indoor event, we have a number of opportunities for getting out of the house to enjoy all that the Boulder County community has to offer. Every month, we share some of the events we’ll be attending as well as others that we know you’ll love to hear about. Read on for November 2018’s upcoming events:
November: Every Tuesday and Thursday
Dance for Parkinsons
Gordan Gamm Theater (Tuesday) & Boulder Ballet Studio 3 (Thursday) - 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder
The Dairy Center for the Arts hosts two classes a week for people with Parkinson’s disease, along with partners, family, friends, and caretakers. The Dairy Center offers classes as part of a large network of more than 100 communities in 11 countries providing movement, music, and fun to participants. CU International Film Festival
Muenzinger Auditorium - 1905 Colorado Avenue, Boulder
The International Film Festival, hosted by CU Boulder, continues into November with a number of international films across eras and genres. Films playing in November include Hal, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and The Captain. You can find more information and see other films that are playing on the International Film Festival website.

Age Well Conference
NCAR Center Green Ballroom - 3080 Center Green Drive, Boulder
The 2018 Age Well Conference is a full-day event featuring professionals, researchers, and advocates in the field of aging. Keynote speaker Dr. Marisa Gerstein Pineau, from the Frameworks Institute, will discuss the project Reframing Aging, a partnership between eight national age-focused organizations. Dia de los Muertos Family Celebration
Longmont Museum - 400 Quail Road, Longmont
The largest Day of the Dead celebration in Colorado happens at the Longmont Museum on November 3rd from 11am to 3pm with over 6,000 people regularly attending. There will be live music, traditional food, crafts, and more. Head to the Longmont city website for more information on this exciting event.

Stories in Places: Louisville’s Development in Context
Louisville Library - 951 Spruce Street, Louisville
Explore the history of Louisville at the public library with Dr. Rebecca Schwendler, who has been studying the residential, industrial, and commercial development of the area. She’ll explore how development in the area shaped the town of Louisville as we know it today. For more information, visit the Louisville Library website.
November 23rd–25th
The Nutcracker Ballet
Macky Auditorium - 1595 Pleasant Street, Boulder
Join the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Boulder Ballet, and Boulder Children’s Chorale over Thanksgiving weekend for a performance of the Nutcracker.
