Volunteer of the Month: Dianne Ewing
We are excited to introduce you to our latest volunteer of the month: Dianne Ewing. Congratulations!
Dianne has been a volunteer at Cultivate for almost six years. Each week she comes to the Cultivate office and takes orders for our Boulder Carry-Out Caravan clients. Over the years Dianne has gone through a lot of crazy stuff with Cultivate, but she keeps sticking with us. Thank goodness! Dianne was chosen as Volunteer of the Month not only because she's a great order taker and the clients love talking to her, but also because she has helped recruit both volunteers and clients by giving presentations at her church.
Dianne volunteers because she likes helping others and likes to feel useful. She is grateful that she's able to do this and recognizes that not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to help others. She chose Cultivate as one of the organizations she volunteers with because she sees how much the organization helps her community, and that's an important factor to her. Dianne is responsible, kind and compassionate and the Cultivate staff looks forward to having her at the office each week.
She has always loved singing. In fact, she sings with a choir group but because of the pandemic that hasn't been possible, which Dianne finds challenging. She misses not being able to gather with her group and sing.
If you're going to buy her lunch, she prefers Asian and Eastern food over anything else. Her perfect day would be getting together with friends, on a nice sunny day, somewhere in nature. She would love to visit Yellowstone Park to enjoy the sights and all it has to offer. Dianne is passionate about social justice; she thinks that everything should be fair for everyone, no matter who. Equality for all! Dianne's main piece of advice to everyone is to "stick to what you like and want, don’t give up and always go for your dreams. Dreams can come true!"
Thank you Dianne, for giving your heart and time to Cultivate. We appreciate you so much ♥︎
