A Look Back on 2020
With the emergence of COVID-19, there’s no doubt that we all faced many difficult challenges in 2020. However, despite the uncertainty of a global pandemic, our Cultivate community banded together to help those in need! Thanks to generous donations and volunteers, we were able to continue assisting those who were significantly impacted—our senior neighbors.
Here are some of the important highlights from 2020:
- Carry-Out Caravan shopped for and delivered 10,575 grocery orders to 542 clients and household members. We also had 326 volunteers providing 12,338 hours of volunteer service as part of the program.
- Our VetsGo coordinated 2,047 escorted medical rides for 115 clients and had 50 volunteers providing 1,501 hours of volunteer service.
- SnowBusters had 81 volunteers that provided 3,138 hours of snow removal service for 208 clients and household members.
- 60 volunteers joined YardBusters and provided 453 hours of yard clean-up for 82 clients and household members.
But that’s not all! In 2020 we also:
- More than doubled our clients and orders from 2019 to 2020.
- Opened a 3rd site in Broomfield.
- Partnered with Team Rubicon to clean and provide sanitized groceries during the height of COVID from March - June
All in all, 2020 was a challenging year, but thanks to all of you and our amazing partners, we were able to rise to the occasion and help those that felt more isolated than ever.
Your time and monetary support made a big difference in Boulder County and beyond in 2020. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving seniors access to essential services, and friendly faces in the community.
Here’s to a happy, healthy, and connected 2021!
