Cultivate Community: Volunteer Opportunities in Broomfield and Boulder Counties
As Cultivate continues to grow and we look forward to 2023, we’d love your support in continuing to grow our community by volunteering! We’ve passed over the threshold of our first 50 years into the next 50, and in just the last year alone, we’ve worked with more than 900 volunteers who have served 29,781 hours!
We only continue to grow and serve more seniors with our services. We help others live autonomously and find joy within our own lives as well, connecting with others as we make small differences that yield big results.
Learn more about Cultivate and our mission here. Read on for what our services are and quotes of gratitude from some of our seniors.
“Thank you, all of you. I credit Cultivate and the volunteer shoppers for literally (possibly) saving my life during the pandemic. The office folks have added me to the client list and answered my questions, and the shoppers have kept me fed so I could stay in my apartment and not be exposed to the nastiness in the grocery stores. You're gems.” -Glenn E
“To the Cast and Crew at Cultivate With All My Love: Thank you with all my heart. Thank you to Bill for his expertise and to everyone else who is a part of my support team to help with my home duties. If I didn't have this support, I couldn't stay in my home!” -Claudia R
“Thank you for sending the team of three dads and three sons to do some yard busting for me. They were very friendly and did a nice job with things I just can't do anymore, and made my yard a different place!” -Caroline H
“I got my order and I just want to say thank you very much to the two people who assisted me with this. They were Annette, taking the order, and Marty, shopping for me. I am very grateful for their concise help and diligence and their offer of time in doing this. A lot of us are going through a lot right now, and it is greatly appreciated.” -Cathy C
Our Volunteer Services
The Carry-Out Caravan program assists seniors with grocery shopping including ordering, shopping and delivery. Volunteers can shop with seniors to help out or do all the shopping so seniors never have to worry.
The Fix-It program connects members of the community with seniors who face the challenges of maintaining their homes. Our volunteers work on homes to promote safety and provide simple home repairs, wheelchair/walker repairs, and grab bar installations.
The SnowBusters program connects members of the community with seniors who face challenges clearing snow from sidewalks around their homes so they can have peace of mind after storms.
The YardBusters program connects seniors with volunteers who need additional help cleaning up leaves in the Fall, mowing lawns in the summer, or watering plants and landscaping in the Spring.
Our VetsGo program connects members of the community with senior veterans 60+ (and their family members who are 60+) who face the challenge of obtaining reliable transportation to and from their medical appointments. Our volunteers pick up senior vets or their family members who are 60+, and escort them to and from medical appointments, including VA facilities, in and beyond Boulder County.
