Our Core Values: Trust
We recently started a series on our core values and have discussed integrity, generosity, and family. Today we’ll take a look at trust.
Build Trust in Every Relationship
Remember the good ol’ “trust fall” team-building exercise? Don’t worry, we’ll never ask you to literally do such an exercise with us, but we do desire to be a community you can rely on to “catch” you. Trust, defined as a firm belief in the reliability, ability, or strength of a person or object, is core to any relationship. At Cultivate, we seek to consistently build trust in every interaction by conducting ourselves in a professional and honest manner—one conversation, one action, one follow-through at a time. We also do this by rejecting the status quo regarding engaging our senior neighbors, instead striving continually to grow in our ability to serve them well. On the flip side, we accept responsibility and quickly correct things when mistakes are made, because trust is built in the proper handling of both our successes and our failures.
We invite you to join us in embracing this value, and help us build trust in every relationship, both within the Cultivate community and the community at large. To further illustrate this core value, watch the video below to hear from our Director of Communications, Shun-Luoi Fong, about the importance of trust in living out all of our core values, as well as the role each person plays in a trusted relationship.
